This blog follows the adventures of 19 students and faculty from George Mason University, and one middle schooler from Parkside Middle School as they travel through New Hampshire following the 2008 presidential candidates.

Since the rally was my first, I was really trying to take it all in and absorb both the atmosphere as well as what McCain had to say. He was a very good public speaker and was able to connect wit the audience in the way he addressed questions and those who were asking him. However, I was a bit troubled when he continually consulted Liberman on the questions that were asked. They stated they were close friends, but who is the candidate here?
DAY 2
I had a fun time going from place to place. I had learned so
much about New Hampshire's political history and really admired how young some of the representatives run and win for the state house of representatives. It really gives me hope that the youth can make a difference. The different headquarters was pretty cool because I was able to see how different candidates had the
campaign organized and also saw the passion that each of the
volunteers had towards the candidates that they were working for. The final thing that we did was see a town meeting with John
McCain and at the beginning I did support him a little but I feel
that by going and watching him i felt a better understanding for
his issues, than what is put online. My view did change and i
feel that this was a great way to start our class off. - Matt Webster
